Cipla Manufacturing facility
Project Description
This landmark project involved the construction of a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility for the pharma major CIPLA Ltd in Sikkim, set in a high seismic zone and challenging terrain. The facility comprises a G+3 storey structure, having a robust RCC base (B+G+1) and steel upper floors designed to accommodate extremely heavy loads of 2 MT/m² across large spans of 18m. Spanning an impressive 1 lakh sq. ft. floor plate, the project utilized approximately 5000 MT of structural steel and 40,000 m² of PVDF-coated PIR panels for cladding. The project was executed amidst limitations of transport and rugged terrain conditions, and thereby exemplifying, the engineering and structural design excellence that DCS brought in, for meeting stringent safety and operational requirements.
