This prestigious project involved the design and execution of a 40-meter-tall industrial tower structure, engineered to support the demanding requirements of the clients’ fly ash and cement mixing plant in Udipi. The tower comprised of 11 distinct platform levels, meticulously designed to accommodate a massive 750 MT silo on the top end about 32 meters high. Additionally, it also supports various critical equipment, including conveyors, pumps, motors, and hoppers, across multiple levels, ensuring seamless plant operations. The foundation of this structure is quite robust, with a 20m x 18m raft foundation providing the necessary stability for the overall structure. A total of approximately 1,000 MT of steel was utilized and the design was executed in STAAD Pro, with detailed modelling completed in Tekla by DCS, ensuring precision and structural integrity. The project also included an innovative pneumatic conveyor supporting arrangement to streamline material handling. This project exemplifies DCS’ capability to deliver complex, high-stakes industrial infrastructure that meets the stringent operational demands of the cement industries.
